Solved: the Error Code OE on an LG Dishwasher
If there is OE on the display, your machine may have a drain problem. Most likely, there is a clog in the drain hose, or it has become blocked due to improper installation. In most cases, these issues are easy to solve.

Check the tub
If there are pieces of food and debris, which cannot be washed out during a cycle, remove them manually.
It is advisable to clean the spray arms, filters and other parts from time to time, and run maintenance cycles.
After that, run a heavy duty or normal cycle without putting in any dishes or using detergents. This will help you clean the device and check the drain system.
Check and clean the filter
Cleaning the filter is a must for smooth operation of a dishwasher.
- Remove the lower rack.
- Check the filter, which is located below the long spray arms.
Inspect the drain hose
Make sure the drain hose is not kinked. If necessary, straighten it.
- Checked the white/gray/opaque ridged/corrugated hose under the sink. Make sure there are no objects pushing on it.
- Remove these objects, if any, straighten the hose and run a cycle to check the drain function.
